Clan History: The Chinmoku clan started in Konoha, with the man named Yakuta. He was a shinobi for more than 30 years before he lost his sight in battle. For years he couldn't move without help from someone, and had a terribly hard time doing anything. But over time he began to notice his other senses growing stronger, compensating for the loss of sight. Slowly but surely he began to function on his own, now being able to move about by himself. His life was never really back to normal, but he was able to take care of himself now.
Eventually he went out and began a normal life again, though no longer able to be a ninja. He met a girl and settled down, geting married, and even having children. Tragedy struck the couple when their second son was born blind. They were upset, but Yakuta was sure that he'd be able to teach the kid to live a normal life. To his surprise, as the kid grew older, he was able to be almost normal. He would run and play with his brother, hindered little to none by his handicap. This gave Yakuta an idea. He enrolled both of his sons in the academy, wanting them to train and become ninja. Again surprising his father, Kurama, the blind child, had completed all the trials, and had become a ninja.
Kurama was strong, and was able to fight better than most children. He excelled in moving about and taking other students down. Yakuta decided that he would be worthy of learning the art of assassination. Training was hard and full of anger and spite, but in the end, Kurama came out an assassin. He went on to become a prominent ninja, before sadly dying in battle. Yakuta and his wife were blessed with another child, and Yakuta had an idea. He had been trained heavily in the art of Raiton, and when the baby was born, he intentionally blinded the child. He had been so proud of Kurama, and was devastated by his death. He wanted this child to succeed in just the same way. From early years he trained his new son to be just like Kurama. The child learned fast, and once again, became an exceptional shinobi.
When Yakuta was lying on his death bed, he tol his son what he had done to him. He was ashamed, but the son didn't mind. He was a strong ninja, and very successful. When it was his turn to have a son, he did the same thing as his father, blinding his child. This was passed down every generation, refining itself each time, before it was clean, and done with just the neurons. Eventually their scientific ability with Raiton was able to restore some of the sight to the clan, becoming their famed doujutsu, the Kuroppoi. The clan flourished and become an order of ritualistic assassins workign for the village. Ever since, the clan keeps refining their abilities, and working more and more with the electric pulses within the brain. Nobody knows just how far they'll take this science.
Clan Leader: Ayumu
Current Members: Ayumu
Member Positions: None
Elemental Affinity(s): Raiton
Kekkei Genkei: The Chinmoku clan's Kekkei Genkei is the Kuroppoi, a doujutsu that grants the blind user a form of sight. The eyes become completely black, being covered by pupil, to allow more light in, also being enhanced by chakra. The user can now see their surroundings through a very heavy haze. They aren't able to make out many details, but they can now see enough to help them in battle. They are also able to see outlines of people, or in some cases animals, with a glow of their chakra. The outlines of chakra stick out more than anything, helping the user aim and react to things much faster and easier than normal.
Another part of the clans Kekkei Genkei is they have a mastery over the Raiton element. This mastery is shown in all Raiton moves they use being at 50% less chakra than normal. This mastery is what allows the clan to harness the neurons inside the brain. The little electromagnetic pulses can be felt bythe Chinmoku, and they can then manipulate them by sending a pulse of their own electric energy. This allows them to do their ritual of blinding children, blinding enemies, and giving them a pseudo sight. Thus far, no other uses have been found from manipulating the pulses, bu theclan is always experimenting.
Exclusive Techniques:
Name: Kuroppoi
Rank: C-rank
Element: N/A
Range: N/A
Type: Doujutsu
Sub-type: Supplementary
Notation: Clan Jutsu
Handsigns: None, the eyes are closed, then reopened.
Description: The Chinmoku activates their secret doujutsu, the Kuroppoi, by closing their eyes, then reopening them. When they open their eyes again, the pupils have gone from normal size, to covering literally the entire eye, making it completely black, no other colors to be seen. The pupils cover the entire eye, letting the user absorb multiple times more light than normal, giving them something close to sight. The user can see mild bits of their surroundings, looking like a haze more than anything, and they can start to see the outlines of all person's chakra. This vision is just enough to give them a slight boost to their normal combat abilities, letting them aim even better, and react faster, granting +10 Dex and Agility
Drawbacks:The user needs to pay a small chakra upkeep to keep this active. This upkeep stacks with the one payed for Sight Destruction Jutsu, costing a fair amount of chakra when used together. C-rank chakra upkeep
Name: Sight Destruction Jutsu
Rank: B rank
Element: N/A
Range: As long as Pseudo eye contact can be made
Type: Ninjutsu
Sub-type: Offensive
Notation: Secret Clan Jutsu
Handsigns: Uses 1 handsign, Ram
Description: When Ayumu activates his Kuroppoi, he can then look into the eyes of his enemy, making a sort of eye contact, and render their vision useless. The afflicted's eyes will become entirely black, mimicking the look of the Kuroppoi, but they will have absolutely no sight. This is done by the Chinmoku sending a pulse of chakra at his opponent, making it go through the eyes, severing the flow of neurons to the brain, much like what is done to the children of the clan. Unlike that, however, this effect isn't permanent, it only lasts as long as the Chinmoku can send a small stream of chakra at them, keeping up the block of neurons.
Drawbacks:Eye contact has to be made to cut off their sight, and it takes a steady stream of chakra to keep up. If chakra flow is even slowed in any manner, the afflicted wil have their sight back. B-rank chakra upkeep needed to hold jutsu
Additional Information: All Chinmoku clan members recieve a mask after making their first assassination, the mask is then made to signify something about them by a mark over where the eyes should be. Ex. Ayumu's tear marks from his first kill.
