It is unclear where the members of the Hyūga Clan had gotten their Byakugan, some say it was a gift from the gods, other say it was a mutation of the Sharingan, since it has been said the origins are the same as of the Sharingan. While not much is known of the clan's background, they are considered to be one of the most powerful clan in Konohagakure. Their notoriety and prowess stretches far and wide, leading others to both praise and covet their abilities. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, a Kumo-nin noted that they had a hard time against them during a previous war.

The clan is separated into two parts, the main house and the branch house, a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The main house runs the family while the branch house protects it. The members of the branch house are branded with a cursed seal upon the third birthday of the heir to the main house. This seal gives the main house members absolute control over the branch members, because they can destroy the branch members' brain cells with a simple hand seal, or cause them great pain to punish them. This seal also makes sure the secret of the Hyūga's Byakugan is safe, because it seals the Byakugan after the wearer of the seal dies. Because they are essentially servants, simply because of their birth order or heritage, some branch house members are hostile to those of the main house.

500 years later, the clan has lost most of its members but is still as strong as ever, living in Konoha. When the war broke out between Konoha and Oto, many members of the Hyuga clan were put onto the front lines, battling the Oto nin while others were put into different categories because of their Byakugan. Many members of the Hyuga clan lost there lives over the next three years. Before the war came to a close, assassin's attacked the Hyuga compound killing almost the rest of the Hyuga's, almost wipping them from extense. A few of the remaining Hyuga's escaped the compound and fled, some went to different countries and some stay in Konohagakure, though living in separate and in hiding from the assassin's.


One year later a member of the clan named Sutā Hyūga, a chuunin-level ninja, thought it was time to bring the rest of his clansmen together. He moved back into the compound and begin restoring it to its once beauty. He labled himself as head of the clan, since no one else was there and has and is finding the rest of his clan that is still alive. He also restored the tradition of the main and side branch, but left the curse mark out of it.

The primary ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the first thoracic vertebra. Upon activation of the dōjutsu, the wielder is granted an automatic 50 metre field of vision around themselves which can then be extended at their discretion.

The second ability is being able to see through solid objects, as well as some degree of telescopic sight. It can also see through most barriers, and other things such as smokescreens, differentiate between non-corporeal clones and can see through techniques that would otherwise hide an opponent from normal sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved through training.

The third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow, the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail as well as the colour of chakra. It is from this particular ability that the Hyūga Clan are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. Unlike the Strong Fist, which is focused on external injuries, the Gentle Fist style focuses on internal injuries. Each strike, when placed correctly, strikes along the chakra pathway system, which is the network of vessels that carry chakra. This network is closely intertwined with the functioning of the body's organs, and so, when the keirakukei take damage, the organs suffer as well. There is no defence against the Gentle Fist, since one cannot train one's internal organs to become stronger. The only possible defence is to stop the Gentle Fist's hits from connecting. Like the Sharingan and Rinnegan, the Byakugan's ability to see chakra and its flow allows the user to detect chakra sealed barriers as well as determine when genjutsu is being used. It was shown in the anime that the Byakugan can also discern a transformation, and a real person using the eye's ability to see chakra.

Particularly skilled users of the Byakugan can take the Gentle Fist style one step further. Along the keirakurei are 361 pinprick-sized nodes called tenketsu, or chakra points, which only the more skilled users can see. When struck, the Byakugan user can choose to either seal, or forcibly open these tenketsu, thus giving the user complete control over their opponent's chakra system. So, with precision, all those points along the victim's body can be sealed, stopping the chakra flow to those areas. Able to strike without force, and yet do more damage to a ninja than some of the most powerful ninjutsu, the Gentle Fist has been labelled as the greatest taijutsu style known in all of Konohagakure.

Description: The Gentle Fist is a form of hand-to-hand combat used by members of the Hyūga clan. It inflicts internal damage through attacking the body's Chakra Pathway System, subsequently injuring organs which are closely intertwined with the area of the network which has been struck. To do this, the user surgically injects a certain amount of their own chakra into the opponent's chakra pathway system, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Even the slightest tap can cause severe internal damage, hence the name "gentle" fist.

Targeting the tenketsu can enhance the havoc and control a Gentle Fist practitioner can impose upon an opponent's chakra network. These special nodes, 361 in total, are key gatekeeping interceptions in the chakra circulatory network, thus forcibly opening or sealing them in whatever manner the Gentle Fist user sees fit is a powerful tactical option to have. The user's chakra can either increase chakra flow in the opponent's body, or disrupt it completely, preventing them from using techniques.

Description: A secret taijutsu that is orally handed down only within the main house of the Hyūga, this technique utilises the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a huge amount of chakra from all the chakra points on the user's body. It is also a defensive manoeuvre to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot as the released chakra blocks any possible attack on the user. After releasing chakra from every tenketsu in their body, the user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both creating a rotating shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. The user can also actively control the size and power of the sphere to suit the situation. This technique is only effective when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack thus if they cannot spin, the user becomes vulnerable.

When used defensively, the user creates much larger, stronger, more flexible, arc-shaped chakra blades that spread out across there entire attack range, effectively forming a barricade between themselves and there opponents, rebuffing even the largest and smallest of targets. The technique creates an "absolute defence" effect similar to that of the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, though the cutting nature of the chakra prevents any outside force from restricting it.

A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit.

I will put the links in, in an hour or so. Hyuuga don't have a "Natural" affinity to water, but they can learn it like anyone else.

Hyuuga don't have any natural elemental affinity. Honestly, I think most Hyuuga were Earth-chakra based or Fire-chakra based. Hinata was always a little different.

So yea, for elemental affinity, put N/A.

Also, the Gentle Fist is NOT D-rank taijutsu. It's capable of massive feats and one palm strike can easily kill someone regardless of their constitution. I'd say it is an A-rank taijutsu style, and requires the A-rank exp and word cost. See the jutsu training system for more info on that.

Also, I'd like the jutsu of the clan in YOUR words. No need to even use links.

If the Palms Revolving Heaven is the Heavenly Spin like I think it is, that'll have to be B-rank.

And if Palm Bottom is the Empty Palm technique, then that is also B-rank.

Also, for the bloodline itself. If you're having another 1k words for extended vision, make that extended vision another 50. ;-) No need to down-play it. Also, it's be cool that after that 100m vision, you can train 1k words for another 25m indefinitely. So after you get 100m, if you train 2k words, you get 50m more for your vision, with no set maximum.

And set up a training rate for seeing tenketsu. Hyuuga don't start out with that ability. Hinata couldn't, and was shocked when Neji could during the Chuunin Exams.

I did do that but I took it all off because I figured it was to much and as for the jutsu, I started doing that but I just followed how the uchiha clan was made. x.x

The Uchiha clan set an ugly precedent. I'd like to get away from that, and male things how the people like it. Also, feel free to go as over the top as you want. If we feel it is TOO much, we'll tell you.

Right! I LOVE what you did with the clan. It's absolutely wonderful. The descriptions are spotless for the bloodline. However, the way the word COULD be interpreted, could make it so you'd have to type over 30,000 words to reach lvl 10. That is too much, so instead we'll say that the bloodline stages are porgressive- meaning it is 10k TOTAL to reach level 10. That is much more balanced.

The only jutsu decription I have a problem with it this one: It was also shown that this technique can be used with pin-point accuracy to target the weak point of a technique

for the jutsu One Blow Body. I don't tihnk it should be able to break through techniques. Well, say it can break through C-rank and lower jutsu and destroy them.

Just that, and make the 32 palms a C-rank, 64 palms a B-rank and 128 an A-rank. ;-)

Also, check the updated Jutsu Training System and edit the word count accordingly.
