Clan History: Originally starting in Mist Village, Hoshigaki Clan started out as a mutation Jutsu. A signature sign in Mist Village were the sets of teeth, made to look more feral and sharkish, something passed down among many Ninja within the Hidden Village of Mist. A forbidden jutsu was performed on a couple of ninja, making them more shark like.

After the transformation, out from their mouth would sprout a weapon that was prone to them. No matter what they'd be force to have it with them the rest of their life, the Samehade. It soon became a mess, as many ninja within Mist village began to praise the group of ninja who were like this, thus the forbidden jutsu was casted upon their children and instead of being used again, the jutsu was forgotten. Instead, it seemed to go on forever as a gene, instead of an actual jutsu.

Because of the Hoshigaki effect within Mist, it soon became a Clan as it spread like a Kekkai Genkai. The sword became their signature weapon which anyone could immediately realize who they were fighting.

The Hoshigaki Clan is now a rather small but nice amount of members Clan. Although they haven't changed in social standing much, they are no longer praised by the former Mist Ninja, in fact lost that praise rather long ago.

The clan has mainly dispersed and dropped in number since falling from praise. Most members left the village and either began living in isolation, or becoming rogues. These rogues would work in groups to act as highwaymen and petty criminals. As time passed, the clan became little more than people sharing skin tones. Some members are virtuous and serve their village, whilst others move onto a life of crime. 

In either regard, the Hoshigaki remain as some of the top members of their chosen path. Kirigakure is home to many of the clan, who can usually be found in the higher ranks of the shinobi, and the rogue criminals are usually known to be B-Rank or above. In either lifestyle, they're known to be feared.

Kekkei Genkei: The Hoshigaki clan are known as "Demon Sharks" for their appearance and their abilities. All members have an odd skin color, usually blue or gray, and have a set of gills somewhere on their body. These gills allow them to breath in water. Like a shark, members of the Hoshigaki clan have jagged, razor sharp teeth, and immense strength. (+10 strength) This strength is one of the things they're most known for. They usually fight up close, and with large weapons, making use of their strength. Another ability they have is that they can smell any nearby blood, which helps them find their opponent in the heat of battle. All Hoshigaki members are very much in tune with the usage of Suiton jutsu, being able to make them stronger. As such, all Suiton jutsu they use are calculated as one rank higher in terms of damage. This affinity for water also allows them to regain a bit of chakra when they can rest inside water. All members can heal very minor wounds, and regain a small amount of chakra while fully submerged in water. The ultimate ability of this clan, however, is the ability to become a half-shark creature.

Description: The user suddenly undergoes a drastic transformation. Their torso, head and arms all change into that of a shark. The individual appearance varies slightly from user to user, but all gain larger gills for perfect breathing in water, they now have fins on their elbows, and multiple rows of much sharper teeth. This transformation gives them a bloodlust and much stronger will for battle. Their muscles are more shark-like, giving them much enhanced agility, constitution, and further strength than they already possessed. All water jutsu now has little effect on them, unless it's a jutsu that solely cuts or has immense pressure. In this form they have a lowered tolerance for lightning jutsu.
Users recieve +10 agility, strength, and constitution upon entering this form.
Drawbacks: Weakness to Lightning type jutsu, must pay B-Rank chakra every turn the transformation is in use.
