Written Description: Thick black locks fall to the shoulder blades, brushed and neat but not meticulous. Underneath onyx top, scrutinizing eyes watch the world from a gaze the color of jet. Activated Sharingan reveals not the triple Tomoe of his clan but that of a more evolved eye. A black ring centered around a rising black pattern resembling flora, surrounded by three semi-circles that hug the outer edge of the eye. A thin nose gracefully dips just above a cupid’s bow of an upper lip, the lower generally pressed against it in an emotionless expression. The chin is not strong, but neither feminine.
Lower, strong, wiry shoulders slope just slightly in a relaxed fashion, chest rising and falling almost minutely every several seconds. Perfectly smooth, unblemished skin seems an almost unfair attribute on his warrior’s body, lean muscle cut to perfect fighting edge. Built for speed, the torso covered by black cloak bearing the Uchiha symbol upon its back would seem more in place on a swimmer. Arms that look less impressive than their strength implied are usually kept free. Hands are hidden within the folds of the cloak, but if one could see them, upon the right thumb a ring bearing the symbol 零 could be seen over a graying, purple background. Hidden within each of the cloak’s sleeves is a blade that springs forth with the flick of a wrist.
Peeking from beneath the usually open front of the cloak stands the hilt of a katana, exquisitely wrapped in the finest of cloth. The blade, when revealed, is the silvery sheen of a legend reborn – the Sword of Kusanagi. Below and above sword belt are plain black clothing, the t-shirt backed up by a mesh undershirt and the pants airy and light. Legs are usually bent, ready to move on a moment’s notice. Feet are perfectly positioned to balance and distribute weight evenly, and covered by the traditional shinobi sandals.

Faceclaim?: Uchiha Madara from Naruto
Personality; Shinji is prideful, some would say arrogant. He goes into every conflict assuming he will win. He looks down on those that give excuses like a lack of training or natural talent for their shortcomings, and completely frowns on those that boast about becoming a threat to him ‘one day’. Confident in his own superiority, he will challenge anyone at any time, and accept any challenge thrown his way. He is better, and is willing to prove it right now – not in a week when he’s had time to prepare. His overall outlook on the world is that there are no true fighters anymore, only those that are crushed under the boot of what the shinobi world has become.
He is also very emotional. Despite the careful reign he attempts to keep on his outward expression, inside the young man is mix of rage and depression mixed with an occasional spike of joy. When he is happy, he is happy, and lives life for the present. Other times he explodes in righteous fury at what he sees are injustices – Hunter-nin, ROOT, and their ilk are despised by Shinji and he takes a certain grim satisfaction in dispatching them. While killing is often necessary, he does not often enjoy it and avoids it when his emotions do not rule him. When forced to kill those he deems less than foul, he finds himself in a deep sadness, remembering each detail – the way they moved, spoke, and their last expression.
Shinji feels it is his duty to free shinobi from the oppression of the current establishment, that each should remain free to be their own person and choose their own path in life. He believes that the Uchiha, first to shake free the chains of their captors, should lead the way into this new era – not as rulers, but as protectors.

Clan/Bloodline: Uchiha/Sharingan
Special Abilities:Major: Uchiha Ascendant – Shinji has the fully available bloodline for the Sharingan, beyond the three Tomoe. Having suffered the heartbreak of the death of a loved one, he has awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan. Having broken the bonds of blood and betrayal, he has further evolved the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. These abilities are all fully trained, as well as the techniques involved with them.
Major: Velocitas Eradico – Shinji can train both Agility and Stamina for half the required XP.
Major: Experienced – Shinji grew up quickly, having to fight incredible opponents by the time he was a teenager, just to stay alive. As such, he left lesser techniques behind, his Ninjutsu all powerful and very destructive. He may choose to sacrifice his ability to choose 2 A-rank or below techniques and substitute an S-rank, or 3 A-rank or below techniques and substitute an SS-rank.
Major: Prodigy – Shinji can use one-handed handseals.
Major: Intensive Training – Shinji begins with the maximum allowed Jounin Skill Points (200)
Major: A Dream Within a Dream - Shinji gets +10 to his Genjutsu skill, focusing those techniques he's mastered to a deadly level.
Flaws:Major: Memories of a Bygone Age – Shinji cannot train any techniques until he has made up the deficit of Experience equal to what he started with including extra Skill Points, Bloodline, and Techniques affected by the “Experienced” SA. He can still train Stats. (This is set to balance the Uchiha Ascendant, Intensive Training, and Experienced SA’s).
Major: Velocitas Eradico – Shinji prefers a high emphasis on speed, and thus lacks in other abilities. He needs twice as much XP for either Strength or Constitution to be raised.
Major: Defiant – Shinji dislikes authority figures from other countries, and is unlikely to work well with them. In diplomatic situations, especially when dealing with other Kage but also with their ANBU, Shinji takes a penalty to Wisdom – 50%.
Major: A Dream Within a Dream - Shinji requires double the regular amount of Experience to learn Genjutsu, as he masters each technique before being able to truly use it.
Family Members: NPC’s –
Uchiha Gendo – Shinji’s father. A quiet, reserved man whose views, if possible, are even more extreme than Shinji’s, believing that the Uchiha need to be the rulers and leaders of the lesser shinobi by their birthright. He believes in immediate family first, then the clan, then village and country as the order in which one should conduct their loyalties. A former shinobi in his own right, he has since retired.
Uchiha Yui – Shinji’s mother. A loving, cheerful woman who does her best to please her son and husband. A member of the clan that had blood thin enough to not awaken the Sharingan, she has never actually had to work a day in her life, instead relying on first her parents and then her husband to provide for her. That is to say, she has never had a job – she raised Shinji and his sister (now deceased) mostly by herself, cooks, cleans, and keeps herself in the best shape she possibly can. The woman is not lazy; she simply understands her role in life and takes great pride in it.
PC’s –
Uchiha Jun – Shinji’s cousin and second in command as far as clan matters go. Shinji feels responsible for his younger cousin, and treats him much like one would a younger brother, attempting to guide him on a proper path, defend him when he can, and offer kind words when needed, or harsh ones if they are required instead. He places much trust in the other Uchiha, and believes that perhaps Jun will be one day able to succeed where he failed – creating a true peace.
Backstory:
Birth
Shinji began life in the Uchiha District of Konohagakure no Sato, following one of the main, leading branches of the Uchiha. His mother, Uchiha Yui, experienced no complications during birth, and the boy was healthy from day one. As a toddler he learned quickly, being of above average intellect and excelling in spatial awareness as well as reaction time. His father, Uchiha Gendo, put him through several rigorous testing scenarios in order to measure his worth as a shinobi even before the boy understood exactly what was going on. Finding him suitable, Gendo made plans to send him to the academy as soon as he was able. He never understood exactly how deeply his actions impacted the boy’s future.
Until his first day of academy, however, Gendo taught him the basics of swordsmanship, hand to hand combat, and the powers of mental manipulation. Shinji took to these well, but he seemed the most gifted with Taijutsu, following in the footsteps of the Konohagakure no Sato greats with his interest in the Goukenryu. Others, however, also watched his growth, and noted his prowess even as a boy. Despite Gendo’s careful warnings, Shinji was placed on a list with a few other children his age for his exploits, scouted early for the shadow organization, ROOT.
Academy
The shinobi academy was a breeze for the boy. He heeded his father’s teachings, never showing off too much in class and only doing just enough to remain in the top tier. Whatever fate he was trying to prevent, however, had already been locked in. Shinji had been recognized from day one. Even so, he led a mostly care-free life, dealing with many of the things that normal boys that age dealt with – bullies, homework, and friends. In the academy, Shinji met two of his best friends – a Senju named Satoru, and a girl by the name of Inuzuka Kegawa. Shinji took quickly to the girl that helped him stave off boys larger than he, never understanding that he had been manipulated into the relationship by Machiavellian shadow hands.
His friendships were genuine in his own eyes. Satoru mirrored him in physical ability much of the time, and Kegawa always had a healthy rivalry with Shinji. He took pride in his accomplishments over them, and in turn vowed to win a rematch when he lost. It was a time of incredible peace for Shinji, something that would soon break down into chaos as Konoha was attacked for the first time not long after he had become a Genin.
Rising Star
The first major attack on Konohagakure no Sato in Shinji’s memory came from the organization the Order of the Impure World. In an attempt to gain an ancient artifact for reasons even now unknown, a mysterious man resurrected an ancient Hokage known only as Lord Mack to Shinji himself, and sent the indestructible form to destroy Konoha – or distract it. The boy was among the responders on the scene. Though a Genin, he showed his true strength in the battle, and together with the visiting Kazekage they managed to defeat the undead, sealing it away with Yoshitsune Sunba’s superior knowledge of Fuuinjutsu. Shinji himself received recognition for the act, given permission by the Hokage and Uchiha Clan Leader of the time, Keiri Okami, to learn many of the Uchiha Clan’s most dangerous and prized techniques. Shinji had no idea that the situation was influenced by those behind the scenes, whispering their suggestions in the ear of the man and allowing a mere boy to become a killing tool.
During this time, Uchiha Gendo, too, began to aggressively vie for his son’s progression and loyalty. Time and again he sent men to attack the boy, paying as low as children and as high as ranking Jounin to attempt his life, forcing his eyes to evolve, to awaken the Kekkei Genkai of their clan, the Sharingan. In little time, the young teen had mastered his bloodline, three Tomoe showing in his reddened eye when active. During recovery and the constant fighting, however, he lost track of both his best friends. Satoru and Kegawa both faded into the background of his life as he was overtaken by the plans unfolding around him.
Chuunin Exams
Shinji’s first chance at true renown came during the Chuunin Exams. Because of the lack of new Genin – mostly due to the destruction of the academy at the hands of Lord Mack – the teams were divided into two-man cells, facing one another. The first round hand Shinji paired with a young Yoshitoki boy from Konoha, but in truth Shinji had no idea who he was. Their teamwork was not the best – Shinji ran ahead, using a speed superior to any other Genin at the time in order to surprise attack their opponents. The battle came down to the boy from Kumogakure – one Kami Origami – and Shinji himself. After a small skirmish, they both plummeted to the earth from on high. Shinji used the proximity of their gaze to launch a Genjutsu attack, dazing the other boy just enough to cause him to slam into the ground, winning the day.
During the break between rounds, he was approached by the Hokage once more. Keiri had been kind that day, remarking on how he’d earned the right to learn special techniques of Konohagakure no Sato and that he would be allowed to learn some of their most potent abilities – the opening of Chakra Gates. Again, the decision came from a force darker than Keiri, and had Shinji known about it, he’d have vehemently declined the knowledge. Instead, he foolishly accepted, becoming one step closer to the weapon that ROOT was trying to mold him into. Just before the second round was to begin, Shinji had a surprising reunion with Kegawa. Catching up for two days, the pair talked and laughed and even did a small bit of training. It was during this time that Shinji also met Izumi Kyuusaisha, another Chuunin Exam hopeful. To Shinji’s surprise, Kegawa had already become a Chuunin – while this infuriated him at first, he could only wonder why he had been held back so long. Field promotions hadn’t recently been uncommon, but he’d been forced to endure the Exams. Why?
In the second round, a single-elimination tournament, Shinji faced a fellow clansman, Kazuma Uchiha. The boy was…sadly outmatched, with Shinji winning handily for the first several exchanges. During this time, however, a third party that had been watching from the shadows, seeing the boy grow into the incredible shinobi he’d become, swooped from the air and down, into the stadium. The gathered crowd gasped as he was whisked away and into the sky on a flying war fan, shot into the distance.
Akatsuki
Under the waterfall at the Valley of the End, Ryujin Karasu – known at the time only as Tobi – revealed a horrible and sickening truth to Shinji. His clan had the potential to go much further, at the cost of the life of his best friend. Tobi implied that in order to force the awakening of Shinji’s Doujutsu, he would kill Kegawa – and didn’t know how bloody such a thing would have to be. The alternative was, to Shinji, to kill the girl himself, thus ensuring that the eyes would come to fruition. There was mercy in what Shinji did, truly, and what ROOT had planned was no different – the girl was doomed to die from the moment Shinji was born. He completed the act with no wasted motion, not wanting to stay as the lifeblood dripped from her. In that heartbreak, he found strength, though Shinji would now say that it was not worth the cost.
From the flames he left burning in Konoha during his escape, he joined with what he perceived to be his only ally, thus bringing the sun to crest the horizon on Akatsuki. The newest dawn included the Missing-nin from Kirigakure no Sato, Ryujin Karasu, Shinji Uchiha, and Silas Senju. From these three, more flocked to the banner of the red cloud on black background. As Ryujin and Shinji fled to Iwagakure no Sato, Ryujin rigorously trained Shinji in the ways of moving silent, relying on a minimum of chakra, and his deadly bloodline. His time in Akatsuki most notably included killing nearly all of the Hunter-nin in ROOT, including the director of the division that orchestrated his Mangekyo Sharingan. When the pair finally arrived in Tsuchi no Kuni, they were greeted by Silas, and soon the three made their way into Iwagakure no Sato proper.
Little did they know, the Shukaku was on its way to being unleashed at the very gates of that Hidden Village. The Jinchuuriki of the Ichibi had arrived, only to be quickly struck down by the combination of Taijutsu and Kenjutsu from Shinji and Ryujin. In a last-ditch effort to kill his enemies, the Jinchuuriki released Shukaku from its binds. In the terrible battle that ensued, Shinji unlocked the final piece of his Mangekyo Sharingan – the incredible Susano’o. Ryujin sealed the Ichibi within himself, and the trio went their separate ways, banding together again for a short time and founding Otogakure no Sato once more, then making it a base of operations for any shinobi unwilling to cower under the oppression of the Kage Regime.
During his time under Ryujin’s leadership, Shinji recruited the infamous Spirit Thief Fuegasu “Aruna” Nomin into Akatsuki, and together they completed several missions strengthening the organization – securing various bloodlines and alliances that keep what remains of the organization strong even today. The two worked together like poetry in motion, Shinji’s blinding speed and Aruna’s deadly efficiency spreading death and chaos across their enemies. Shinji’s second meeting with the Kazekage came under the influence of Aruna, as well, and was much less friendly than the first. Both postured, though neither truly wanted a fight at the time.
Otokage
It was at this time that the gathered forces of Akatsuki staged an attack on Konohagakure no Sato. The battle took the lives of several of both sides, though Konoha fared the worse. It was during this battle that Ryujin revealed his identity to Shinji, leaving him with the keys to Otogakure no Sato, giving him responsibility as Otokage. The boy distinguished himself in that fight, breaking into the secret techniques library of Konoha and stealing their prized possessions while simultaneously waging war with the Hokage, Keiri Okami. The battle with the Hokage ended quickly, with Shinji as the victor. The boy did not kill the man, simply taking his eyes as trophy – a newly formed Mangekyo that had shown itself after the death of Keiri’s best friend. Shinji also fought with his childhood friend, Satoru, revealing that he had indeed murdered Kegawa and attempting to drive the Senju away in his grief, pretending as though he’d done it simply for the benefits to himself.
After the battle was done, Shinji led the Uchiha clan – what he believes is the only true Uchiha clan – out of Konohagakure no Sato and into a new home in Otogakure no Sato. A team of surgeons carefully replaced his now failing eyes, taxed by the use of his Kekkei Genkai’s most powerful abilities, with Keiri Okami’s own.
Sage
As it happened, the ruler of the Land of Iron had been attempting to breed war with the Shinobi Nations for quite some time. He invited the Kage of each village to a Summit held in the heart of that land, a temple that had long been used by the nations to hold free and peaceful audience. Despite threat of being counted as in league with Akatsuki if they did not attend, many Kage did not – in fact, only one actually did. The Raikage and his guards proved the most troublesome for Shinji as he revealed the final evolution of his eyes, a terrible power. The weapon his Susano’o wielded was the frightening Totsuka sword, and in combination with Shinji’s already potent capabilities and massive chakra reserves, he was completely unstoppable, killing several and defeating more before battling the then-ANBU Kira Takoyaiba. The two clashed, and Shinji took wounds before finally defeating the other shinobi.
Continuing his onslaught in the Land of Iron, Shinji faced Satoru once more, this time on the wet and rocky steppes outside what was left of the temple. Satoru was completely overwhelmed by Shinji’s mastery of his bloodline. He fled without knowing Satoru’s fate, and assumes him dead.
Upon his return to Otogakure, Shinji felt the familiar pull of the reverse-summoning placed upon each Akatsuki member’s ring. He followed the call, knowing it could only be one man – Ryujin. As it happened, his mentor had run afoul of some cruel shinobi that had ripped the Ichibi from him, leaving him only half a man and losing chakra like a fatally wounded man loses blood. The boy witnessed Ryujin’s final moments in the company of a stranger, stealing the private moment from him and causing an anger born of shame and a feeling of uselessness. He gathered the body and fled back to Otogakure before the other man could say much of anything. Upon his return, the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki confronted him. Shinji killed him, giving his spirit to Bard D. Norou in order to manipulate as he saw fit.
After hosting the Chuunin Exams, he has moved on, first traveling to Kumogakure no Sato before being approached by his subordinate, Bard, with a plan to bring down what remained of ROOT. Intrigued, Shinji did not agree with the plan but followed it anyway, to its ultimate success. ROOT was decimated by the sheer power of Shinji’s incredible techniques.
From there, Shinji retreated to his village, to help it expand and protect those that had gathered in Otogakure no Sato, knowing his enemies would likely wish to strike back after his sudden and violent attack on the militant faction of their government. Years have passed, in which he has guided Tate no Kuni into a place of freedom and prosperity. His war with Konohagakure no Sato had moved through with heavy casualty on both sides – relatively. The quality of the shinobi from Otogakure seemed greater, but Konohagakure had no shortage of their own talented ninja, and in much greater number. Finally killing the Hokage, Shinji was halted from destroying Konoha only by a sudden pang of guilt and a feeling of home. Gazing upon the wreckage of his former clan house, he called a retreat and gave the field to Konoha – a pyrrhic victory for the village at best.
For several more bloody battles, the war waged with one Nakago Yaiba, someone lucky enough to never have actually engaged Uchiha Shinji himself but seeming able to stop his subordinates. When a final showdown between the two opposing forces was about to begin, however, Shinji’s cousin Jun stepped forward, his only wish being that of peace. Peace could only be achieved by allowing Jun’s capture, and so Shinji did, not wanting to spoil the act of compassion by refusing, or retrieving him.
Much later, his cousin returned, having been freed by that same Nakago, now Hokage. Shinji did his best to hide his feelings on how Jun had been treated, but anyone that knew him well knew the cold, slow rage that had begun building in him would only facilitate the demise of anyone in Konoha that had so much as raised an angry word at his cousin. It was only a matter of time.
