training with ryuji

Ryuji had done a lot of paperwork in the Raikage offices all day, and needed some fresh air before he started training, even though it was already nightfall, he would get his daily training done. He walked somewhere where he usually does to clear his head, and came across an open field with short green grass and the moonlight shining off of it. The wind was blowing the leaves of the trees lightly, setting a nice, silent evening mood, perfect for clearing his head.

As Ryuji walked into the open field, he noticed a boy packing his stuff, it looks like he is preparing to leave. Ryuji walked closer to the boy, and said: Hello, my name is Ryuji. What are you doing here, were you training? What's your name? It did not really look as if any training happened here, the grass wasn't crushed, the trees surrounding it had no scratches from shuriken or kunai, everything was fine.

If you haven't trained, would you like to train with me? And do you have a sensei? I was looking for a student, if you want, I shall be your sensei if you pass my test. Ryuji said to him. He was wondering if the boy would accept the challenge, he really wanted a student. Ryuji never got to be a sensei, he had to grow up fast, as the previous Raikage was teaching him from a very young age. He wanted to do the same, he wanted to teach someone from Kumogakure, maybe he could do what the previous Raikage did, and make a next Raikage. Though the boy was older than Ryuji was when he was first being taught, it wouldn't hurt to try. The boy could do with some training, no matter the age of someone, improvement was always good.

"A test?" the thought of such a thing had intrigued Sora, and he greatly wished to see what this "Test" would entail. The only thing that interested him more, was the thought of becoming the raikages student and learning from the villages strongest shinobi.

"may i ask why you would ask someone whom you have never met before to become your student?" the thought had crossed Soras mind, and it did seem a bit odd, didnt the raikage have any family? But Sora didnt ponder on the thought for too ong, as the raikage was quite good at genjutsu, so Sora avoided eye contact right from the get go, and took notice of his surroundings in great detail, so he would notice if he had been caught in a genjutsu. He instead focused his attention the the chest area of the raikage, anticipating a move from the raikage. Sora then proceeded to lower his stance, and flick his blade loos from his sheath, making it easier to draw and slash simultaneously, and so, with a lowered stance and sword ready to be drawn he said " It would be an honor to train with you, what would you like to have me do?"

There wasnt much hope in stoping the kage had he decided to attack first, and the man was giving off such pressure, Sora didnt dare make to first move, instead, he awaited for the raikages move, and would plan a counter accordingly, and hopefully, not die, that was pretty much Soras target for this fight, if there was one. So while awaiting the raikages response, Sora dug his foot into the ground, intending to kick dirt into his eyes, should he dash at him. It was pretty optimistic, considering he probably wouldnt be able to react in time, and so, Sora made on more scan of the area, in hope that he would not be trapped in a genjutsu.

I was looking for a student for a while now, and when I saw you, I just decided to test you and see if I can do something with you. Ryuji said to him. Though you still haven't given me your name. He said again. He watched at how the boy acted, readying his sword it seems. Waiting for the boy's name, he would reply to the boy again, stating what he must do: Well, to start things off, I want you to catch me, with a clone in your way. If you can manage to do that, you have passed... the first test. You will find out what the second test is soon enough. You must know that I will not be accepting you right here right now, it will take a few days, and a few tests.

Test ideas already ran through Ryuji's head as he spoke, this would be fun, yet it should be taken very seriously. This consisted of three tests so far, catching Ryuji was the first test, the second test would be revealed to the boy once his job was done. Ryuji was getting excited already, he can't wait to see what the boy can do. The clone will not use any techniques, that is all you are allowed in your favor.

Ryuji jumped back in a blur, landing 10 meters away from the boy, he made a sign, creating a lightning clone. The clone stood next to him, and Ryuji walked away, and rested against a tree that was 30 meters away from the boy. The clone was ready for the boy's attempts at getting to Ryuji. It wouldn't use any technique to try and stop the boy from reaching Ryuji. Start. The clone said to the boy, signaling that the test has begun.

As soon as Sora had heard the terms of this test, he thought it was to simple, not that he thought catching him would be easier, it just seemed a but straight forward. But he got on with it, ignoring the request to know his name, instead he began to dash at the clone, and as he got within range, he crossed his legs and fell forward diagonally to his right, and just as he got low enough, he planted his left foot in front of his right, while still falling forward, he lifted his right leg and focused all his weight on his left, curved his back, and dashed to his left while throwing his body into a spin, and as he landed after the spin on his left foot, he was facing the clones back from a diagonal position, and swiftly drawing his sword, swiped aiming for the exposed neck, hoping to slice the side of his neck, and following through with his slash, he spun around to face the raikage.

He then re-sheathed his sword and began a mad dash toward where the raikage was awaiting him.
Sora was almost certain the raikage was just going to run away again, and so he pretended to stumble, but what was unseen was that Sora had aligned the hilt of his sword with the frame of the raikages body, and then swiftly drew the blade and flung it towards the raikages head, knowing he would dodge it, but maybe it would force him off balance,(again with the optimism) but he was pretty close by now, so if he missed, he could hopefully get to his blade before the raikage got out of range again. But the goal wasnt to kill the raikage, so before going for his sword, he would attempt to grab to  raikages arm, but the odds off this working where even less than the odds of the sword hitting him.

The boy again ignored the request from Ryuji to give his name, instead he dashed forward towards the clone. The clone responded, moving towards the boy with good speed, it bent down and moved its right leg towards the boy's knees, which would cause the boy to trip. The boy would fall to the ground, landing three meters away from the clone, enough distance for the clone to stop him again if he tried a head on approach like he just did.

Now can you tell me your name? This isn't a good start for you to ignore a request. Ryuji said to the boy, still standing against one of the trees, waiting for a reply. The boy had to think, he needed a strategy if he wanted to catch Ryuji, because there was almost no way he would get to Ryuji by just going straight for the kill, or in this case catch. A simple yet important test that Ryuji thought of, Ryuji was a strategist himself, and knows strategy is a big deal in battle.

The boy had a few more tries left before he failed the test, if he hadn't caught Ryuji soon, it was over. Maybe Ryuji would give him a second chance and let him do the second test, but that all depends on the boy's next few actions. If he didn't impress Ryuji before the test was over, he would not be accepted as his student, and Ryuji would be disappointed again for having no student, and probably the boy as well for not becoming Ryuji's student. Now, you only have a few more tries before you fail the test, so choose your next move carefully. Ryuji said to him, hopefully he would take the words wisely, and think of his next move carefully.

As Sora grew close to the clone, it came to meet him, it appeared as if it was going for his legs, this made things easier. As Soras body was bent forward, at made it easier to react to this, as because of the angle of Soras body, the clone would have to reach in quite far to reach his knee, knowing this, Sora used it to his advantage, by not dodge but instead, he slashed at the clones neck when it extended its leg, and attempted to trip him, hopefully reducing its chance to dodge. Should Sora be successful with destroying the clone, he would dash forward, and as he came within range of the kage, he would make the seals to use the body replacement technique, which were ram,boar,ox,dog and snake, and after he reappeared, he would use a clone jutsu to go at the kage from both sides.

As Sora and the clone drew closer, Soras clone was on the left, the kages right hand side. Sora made it slash at the kages right arm, hoping to push him into the real ones path, and make it easier to grab him. But after Sora was done with the clone, before beginning this attack, he stated, " My name is Sora Yuudai, sorry for being so rude, was just excited" and so once those words left his mouth, he began his attack strategy, he wasnt sure how successful it would be, or even if he would make it past the clone, nut it was worth a try, at worst, he learned what plan would not work against the clone. And if this attempt and the next few were to fail, then Sora would simply have to stop over thinking, and just let what happens happen, and if he were to let his instincts take over, im pretty sure he would fail the test, as it wouldnt be a very nice site to see Sora let himself go and just focus on trying to kill the raikage, although it wouldnt happen.

The boy had destroyed the clone, he should have been stunned because of it being a lightning release clone, but it seems the weapon's handle was not conductive of electricity. The boy had continued to charge on ahead towards Ryuji, he made a few signs, and then made a clone. The clone stood on Ryuji's left, and the boy on his right. The boy gave his name to Ryuji, Sora Yuudai was his name it seemed.

This combination of using the clone to attack from both sides, and the tree behind Ryuji was a good one indeed, it only gave him one route to take if he wished to dodge, and that was forward. This was a dangerous move from the genin, if he planned correctly, then he could kill Ryuji right then and there, if Ryuji was a lower rank, but Ryuji is the Raikage, he could survive this. The combination impressed Ryuji, enough for him to decide that the boy has passed the first test, this was a good strategy, if another genin was Sora's opponent, then that genin would have a really hard time dodging it, with Sora being able to throw his sword at that genin if he ran forward. That being said, it was time for the second test, but it would be here, in this field, no it would be somewhere that the genin would not suspect at all.

Ryuji made two signs, tiger and ram, which activated his genjutsu: Temple of Nirvana Technique, this would let Sora see fathers falling from the sky, this causes him to fall asleep, and the instinct to sleep can't be ignored. Ryuji then jumpes forward, pressing against the tree with one leg to help him gain even more speed, the boy would fall to the ground, and his clone would be asleep as well.

Ryuji would walk over to the sleeping boy, he would pick him up, and leave the clone to eventually disappear. Ryuji started to walk to the hospital where he would have a medical ninja put the boy to sleep for a lot longer. He needed to be asleep for the second test to begin, they would go to Konohagakure, where Ryuji would leave the boy to get to Kumogakure on his own, but keep an eye on him from a good distance as well.
