On there way to Kumo, Kuroi and yui decide to take a break at Tsuchi no kuni, as the distance that they are required to travel is quite long, especially for yui,, who is not a shinobi, and not aa very athletic person to begin with.
So the two decided to take a break on the outskirts of the village just not to draw attention to the facts that they are outsiders, but, that plan didnt last long, as the two of them grew hungry, but neither of them really had money soooo, they resorted to underhanded tactics, and even though Yui didnt agree with them, she didnt really have a choice.
These tacticts included they use of Kurois genjutsu on regular shop owners, to make them believe that they were getting paid, but not long after leaving the shop, the genjutsu would fade, and the shop owners where left empty handed, this, did not make them very happy.
as night drew near, Kuroi decided it would be best to stay the night, rather than travel in the dark, as it would be problematic for him to keep track and take care of himself and yui at the same time, and so, agreeing with such logic, the two of them looked for a small in or hotel to stay at, and when the found one, they persuaded the clerk to allow them to pay as they were going to check out, so basicaly they were planning to pull the same shit here.
The next morning when the two of them awoke, they were greeted by a guard, wanting to ask them questions about what happened at those restaurants. Kuroi agreed to this, or so it seemed, the second the guard dropped his guard, Kuroi kicked him where the sun dont shine, grabbed Yuis hand and ran to the outskirts of the town, in an attempt to hide, and wait out the rest of their stay in tsuchi.
